Blade & Soul servers are expected to do minimal work

To expand on my above post, when servers are expected to do minimal work per connected client, a lot of the work is done on the individual players’ computers, which is fine but it allows people to hack as easily as changing a few values with cheat engine. The games you are referring to are likely designed to handle most things server side rather than client side, and so there is no need for anti-cheats. Examples include World of Warcraft, League of Legends etc.. games that you can bet have the kind of hardware behind them that would make a nerd like me wet their panties.

The reason a lot of korean mmos are like Blade And Soul Gold is because they are often designed to run off of rather sub par/older server hardware. Of course, if it’s not an issue, there should be no reason ncsoft can’t change things.

I’m hoping that’s what happened because that would be awesome, in my perfect dream scenario the folks running the servers at NCSoft took a look at their resource usage, saw it got a lot lower since the population stabilized, and greenlighted this change, to put the extra processing power to good use instead of just downsizing the servers to save cash.

Honestly gameguard was stopping nothing at the moment, it wasn’t catching any of the bots so whatever program/method they were using for chatspam/destroyer farming GG wasn’t doing a damn thing not to mention it was just giving out false positives on wtfast/razor programs.

how do you explain games like dota where noone has ever managed to teleport from one place to another or move faster Blade & Soul Items? it’s obviously possible for a server to keep track of positioning real-time and realize when there’s just no way someone could have moved from x to y within z number of cycles and disconnect them. most MMO’s just don’t because it’s too resource intensive. It’s totally feasible though.

I’ve seen at least a few mmo’s that used this method to success though, by limiting how much characters could possibly move on the xy axis of the world in set amounts of time, you would speed hack 50 ft forward in a second, swing at a treant and do nothing until your invisible-to-you character caught up.

Blade And Soul: Enjoyable Can be Figured Out Later

Is playble but not enjoyable and i can’t compare to FM’s with even 150 that know how to play….point is is one thing to do your stuff but is different to play the class as it was designed to.FM or any other Class wasnt designed to be played with this ping period. With 30 ping i can spam LB + RB and all spells of the branches and switch all the time between two without losing a half sec while with 230 i have big delay between fire and ice spells. So yeah is not that much of fun…

That’s fair enough, playable and enjoyable are two separate things, but I’ll leave that for another time, thank you for your Blade & Soul Gold, it is also highly valued. But personally, to me, right now, I’m only after playable. Enjoyable can be figured out later. And as others have said, different classes are playable so far at different pings. Different opinions but valid with the right backup evidence either way.

Lol oops low ping* I think reason why it’s not ping dependant like Summoner (correct me if I’m wrong) is coz WL main source of damage is from Raging Spirit which is cast time based and one free insta cast on crit if you added it to 5th tier. Summoner main source of dps should be from Hornet where you can insta cast and spam it under certain conditions.

I think most of the classes are playable exept SIN and KFM with a ping of 200 and above, curently playing with 230 on TW with a BM, and I’m outpsing the taiwanese bms, its harder of course, for example mushin, before the last update, i killed last clone with 2 seconds past enrage timer, its just practice, high ping will make you a mutch better bm, since you will figure out how to max out your dps even with lacking the atack speed, since I saw a lot of players, taiwanese for example, whos skill build is amazingly bad, they don’t watch the cooldows, their dps is really bad. As in for arena, I had plat with 233 ping, so its fine, you can get used to the ping, but ofcourse, its uncomparable to low ping, when I went to korea and played with 20 ping from PC cafe, it was godlike, but since we prop wont get the EU or NA version, you eather get used to it or quit xD

if u have above 200 i dont suggest to play kfm or assasin, since you wont be able to dig in so much dps, because those 2 classes are very ping related. Why are they very ping related BNS Gold? Because of their skills, for example on an summoner, once you burst out all your skills, there is a cooling time, on witch you dont dps that much nomore, and since they have big cooldowns its not a problem with ping, same goes with warlock, very big cooldowns so its fine

PPL are just blind and barely see the reality of BnS

Alright so, this is a topic that somehow, almost every channel I notice hints at if not states boldly; This game is Pay2Win, you won’t get too far without buying gold if not far at all. Let me just input that as someone sort of new since I hit 45 a few days ago, perhaps there’s facts I am missing about the game. However, so far, the only thing I’ve purchased was the 1 week membership, just to see what it was like. It was alright. Nothing too extravagant, but decent. With that being said, never have I ever come to a complete halt that has made me say “This is impossible, I need to buy this in order to do it.”. I farm and get the same items as everyone else including the players with Membership.

“It’s so hard to make gold, it forces you to eventually buy it.”

No, no it doesn’t. There isn’t a time or place in the game ever that you are prevented from doing anything because you are REQUIRED to purchase something using actual money(Unless ofcourse you’re trying to do something that does need you to be a member to accomplish, which is pretty minuscule; theoretically, just buying an advantage once you become a member). Spending money in this game isn’t so you can “win”, it’s so you can save time. If you don’t have the time nor patience(dedication in some Blade And Soul Gold) to accomplish what you need to, how is it that the game is P2W? You simply can’t because of perhaps your real life circumstances. However, someone with money to spare, if they decided to spend their way to the top–then that only means they just had the resources and thus took the opportunity. Anything someone who used money can do, a free player can do as-well with enough time.

Their aren’t any items that are member access only, other than discounts(which isn’t an item but in case their any geniuses who may reply), but this is a business after all. As what most do, having a membership gives you a discount, no biggie.

Bottomline, my point is: This game isn’t pay to win, all you’re doing when you spend money on this game is getting a boost. So please, either commit to the game or don’t and stop complaining, just because you have more of a life than others–it doesn’t mean the game is at fault. You chose to play a game that takes time to master, if you don’t have it–then you’re just wasting time and should find a less tedious game.

The definition of a FPS is a game where you see at the first person and shoot. Does that make portal a FPS? Nope, everyone agrees to define portal as a puzzle game. You can level up in Call of Duty, does that make it a RPG? Nope, everyone agrees to define it as a FPS.

So yes the official definition of P2W is: being able to buy power.

But when you’re not an asshat, the definition you use BNS Gold, like everyone else is: being able to buy power that cannot be attained in a free way or that would take 15 times more time by playing than working at minimum wage.

So stop bringing discussions down. Unless you want to scream to everyone that CoD is a RPG thats fine with me.

I don’t care for this boxes in Blade & Soul

They are shit, but I’m waiting the next with gems and leg weapon.

Did someone will buy this boxes or just RMT from spammers, well whats the difference? In the end of the day s/he will have what he want.I want RNG boxes with gems, and if there is any rng boxes with them price will drop.Nowdays people sell attack 5 yellow gem for 500g.In taiwan usual price was 800-1k but with rng boxes down to 300.

It’s good for both parties – lazy people keep on par with ther CC and normal players buy things cheaper.Win-Win situation.

I still prefer those people like on the screen to spend ther money into the company then 3rd parties. In first option publisher is cheap Blade And Soul Gold, so do the shareholders etc and in the second publisher and shareholders are not happy and bring silly things that China have, player in both cases get what he wanted.

So far I dropped 1k in the shop and keep like 90% of the coins for better deals, however I`ll never support gold sellers.Yes they sell cheaper and in both cases I`ll get my target done(which is Legendary weapon tbh)but I don’t like the idea to give my money to this plague I hate the most in online games.

You guys take anything and run with it I swear. RNG boxes were inevitable since the game is F2p, they need to profit from something. First you complain the game wasn’t released in the west and now that it’s here you want to complain about how an item in the “optional” cash shop is effecting your f2p experience. I find that the only ppl who call these types of boxes p2w are the people who would buy these things up in a minute if they had the income to do so but they don’t so they are envious of ppl who can.

So you’re saying as long as they put shit in their boxes and the only thing of value is the costume is fine. Why not put the costume in the shop then and get away from boxes? You want to play a fucking Blade And Soul Power leveling and ncsoft wants to make money. I’d rather pay subscription and get retards like you out of this game. You complain because they’re lowering the market price on everything. If you don’t pay for anything. They just saved you in game money, time and mats by making other people pay for stuff. There is a reason people have a job at ncsoft with degrees in business and marketing and you live in your mom’s basement eating cheetos.

oh i dont care about rng boxes for costumes and random things…i care about moonwater stones and soulstones they give in it..that is p2w no matter what anyone else say…..even i who love this game cant defend that….so when lv50 comes out theres gonna be boxes with silverfrost stones?? like plz….and they said they wouldnt do like korea p2w system…

Blade & Soul Quad-Core Processors

Actually this is incorrect. Unreal 3 supports quad-core processors. Infact, technically the engine doesn’t really “care” which core to use and how many cores are available in your PC. That job falls into your OS’s scheduler. The Engine allows programmers to use multiple different threads to run to finish certain tasks, this is what determines the capability of an engine, how extensive is the API available for programmers to make use of to optimize their games, BnS has around 80 of them running at one time or more, and the OS determines which ones falls into which CPU (CPU is a logical term and could mean any combination of a physical CPU core, a CPU thread or Hyper-threading).

So whenever you see an Unreal based game not using the full 4, 6 or 8 number of cores, it can be caused by many Blade And Soul Gold. From the amount of threads the game are running, how the OS decided which CPU to work on given threads and the CPU architecture or something else entirely.

The game is old, yes, but not in the sense that the engine is lacking. It’s just the codes aren’t optimized to make use of the current technology has to offer.

I would like some education please =) Maybe you or others could explain a few things to me. Why is it some people tell me the Titan X is a very overpriced gpu that isnt that much more powerful than the 980Ti? Where as others are telling me it is actually more powerful & the better choice for future proofing a build?

Well no its not obvious to me thats why I asked x.x I already said I dont know this stuff well & all I have seen until your post is “X is to much for that kind of power increase”. So I have been looking for something more detailed so I can understand if its actually worth its price or not worth it.
